The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Southern Florida’s 3rd Annual “A Family Affair” at Mar-a-Lago

Last week families and friends gathered at the 3rd Annual “A Family Affair” to benefit the Make-a-Wish Foundation on the picturesque lawns of the Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach. This one-of-a-kind afternoon featured a gourmet picnic, silent and live auctions and many children’s activities. The day started out quite disastrous weather-wise; it was pouring and the small tents were about to fly away (some were even ripping apart!!). Event planners made the last minute call to take some down and move all tables under the main event tent.:(

And then The Donald stopped by, looked at the heavens, had a quick chat with those weather gods and…….. look how this day turned out….Thank you Donald!

Remember Thy Children Thy Builders? A different look at children with their school families

It has been a couple of fun weeks with all of the children at St. Mark’s Episcopal School in Palm Beach Gardens. We came up with the idea of creating some “out of the box” class photos to raise funds for the school selling the images at it’s annual “Christmas in October” event which took place yesterday. In addition, for the 2010-2011 8th grade graduation class, we decided to do some special friendship shots.

It really was a big hit; children and parents alike were so excited to discover the outcome of our fun moments during recess and PE where we just grabbed some props, piled the children up on some construction boxes, make them hang out of the school bus windows and spiced it all up with some Dynamite “I wanna celebrate and live my life, saying AYO!!” from our boombox.

Once we saw their reaction we realized we might have set a new trend of school photography….

St. Mark’s, thank you so much for letting us capture your community. We enjoyed every minute of it and can’t wait till next year!

Thy Children, Thy Builders

Lotte and I had so much fun supporting the Temple Beth David Preschool PTO in Jupiter in their effort to raise some funds during their End of the Year Picnic today. We hang out at the school’s playground a few mornings and just focused on capturing every single one of the 130 children with some kind of strong expression; no posing, not one Weesteetee (french for “Say Cheese”) shot. We then transferred them all into beautiful matted b&w prints and sold them to the parents this evening. The whole event was a big success! Here’s a few for you to enjoy.
